I myself have very
limited experience with the creation of digital media, but I am truly
fascinated by the processes that are utilized when making pieces like Mark
Dorf's Emergent #21. Although I am insanely lacking in my familiarity with
this artistic medium, to me this piece demonstrates a proper amount of both
fluidity and control, in the sense that the edits made in the piece seem to
flow together nicely. This artwork may seem simple at first glance, but the
more I examined it, the more I seemed to be able to distinguish an execution of
asymmetrical organization, which consequently added to the piece’s appeal. This
image relates to digital media mostly in its successful execution of restraint
and simplicity, generating a discernable impact through a “less is more”
approach.
